Two siblings are forced to enter a forbidden forest to rescue their missing mother, only to encounter a mysterious woman with a deadly agenda.
Bahtera is a short film that explores themes of family and sibling relationships through a Nusantara folk-horror approach. It is inspired by traditional cultural concepts such as kuda kepang and barongan, which are often associated with ritualistic, spiritual, and mystical elements within Nusantara communities. Although these performances are not directly featured, Bahtera draws from their atmosphere and cultural significance to shape the film’s visual identity and emotional tone.
